Using the five elements of Feng Shui, it is possible to create a harmonious balance in your own home or business. The balancing effect offered by the utilization of Feng Shui will ensure luck and prosperity for everyone in your home and/or workplace.
The five elements of Feng Shui are Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. Each of these five elements have an effect on each of the other, surrounding elements. They have their own unique properties which create that effect; and, they each personally, as well as collectively, affect our homes, businesses and well-being, rather we are consciously aware of the effect or not.
The Utilization of the Water Element in Feng Shui
The water element is the most powerful element to utilize when focusing on improving communication, networking, professional opportunities and wealth.
An example of the positive usage of the water element in your home or business is the placement of a trickling fountain.
Destructive usage of the water element is popularly diagnosed as the wasting of water via leaking pipes or a malfunctioning toilet, for example. The destructive usage of the water element manifests the loss of money, poor health and/or a complete and total breakdown in the household/business as a whole.

The wood element is the most powerful element to utilize when seeking the generation of motivational, inspirational, passionate, developmental and creative energies.
The wood element can be utilized to balance your home and/or office, without overwhelming its occupants with too much energy. Wood has a very balanced nature on its own accord and is nothing but good energy.
There is no destructive usage of the wood element.

Earth is representative of stability, permanence and home. This element is a wonderful addition to a home which is too busy or where the occupants are frequently overwhelmed or less than spiritually grounded. The Earth element is soothing and healing.

Metal conducts and transmits energy. For that reason, the addition of the Metal element to an area of your home will draw attention and transmit energy to that particular area.
